Worthy and Independent Life in Community

The general objective of the project "Worthy and Independent Life in the Community" is to improve the quality of life and access to services for social inclusion in response to social and healthcare needs for people with disabilities and people over 65 in the inability for self-service in order to overcome the consequences of social exclusion and poverty in the municipality of Cherven Bryag. The project envisages the implementation of activities that will lead to the establishment of the Center for hourly services provision for social inclusion in the community or at home, which will provide integrated access to health, social and other services linked to the specific needs of a person based on their individual assessment. A multidisciplinary team of specialists will be engaged in providing services after passing the necessary training. The project foresees launch of an entirely new service type for Bulgaria - Telecare. Telecare devices provide support for people of different ages and with different needs - sensors, communication technologies, operating individually or in a package of services that register events occurring in the state of people - at home and in community. Telecare includes monitoring the condition of the patient during the day, so if an accident occurs, information is passed instantly for immediate action to eliminate the risk. In this sense Telecare is not only complex high technology and services, but the philosophy and the right to worthy and independent living for every person and for the choice of living in your own home.
