"Opportunities for independent living for people with disabilities and people over 65 years with a limited self-service Chuprene Municipality"

Chuprene Municipality is composed of 8 settlements - Varbovo, Gorni Lom., Dolni Lom, Protopopintsi, Replyana, Sredogriv, Targovishte and Chuprene. The total population of the municipality according to the last census of NSI of 2011 is 2 038 inhabitants. In recent years there has been a reduction in the number of the population due to negative natural and mechanical growth, while simultaneously increasing average age, leading to aging of the residents, depopulation and more difficult communication. This trend is driven by difficult economic conditions and lack of employment opportunities. Chuprene Municipality is located in northwestern Bulgaria, one of the regions in the EU, with the largest number of permanently unemployed. The remoteness of the Municipality from the major transportation corridors and cities further hinders the employment opportunities and access to social and health services for the population. By the insured under the scheme access to integrated services, psychological or other support, the users will be able to overcome the daily restrictions and to receive aid corresponding to their specific needs. The created under the project new Center for hourly service provision will be located in the ground floor of the building of Chuprene Municipality, for this purpose reparation of the room will be carried out. Two working cabinets will be made with a total area of ​​32 square meters, which will be connected by a corridor, separated from the rest of the floor of the building by an entrance door. The repairs include deviding of the room, replacement of flooring, placement of plaster and painting of the walls, installation of doors, making of new electrical wiring, installation of radiators. After completion of the repairs, the rooms will be furnished with the necessary equipment and devices. For ofering better services under the project a needs assessment for the persons who will use the services, as well as rules for the Centre will be developed.
