New opportunities for social support and independent living of disadvantaged people of Svoge Municipality

Over 10% of the population of the municipality of Svoge are people with established different level of disability. They suffer of limitations in their personal and social life. This project proposal provides an opening of a new social service: Centre for hourly service provision of social inclusion in the community or at home, which will provide comprehensive support for disabled people and people over 65 years old with an inability to self-service. There will be appointed staff at the center / manager, technical secretary, personal and health assistants, domestic helpers, social workers /, which provides additional qualification through induction and maintenance training as well as psychological support and supervision. Psychological counseling by professionals, individual and group therapy are set for consumers according to their identified needs. Centre's work includes repair, furniture and equipment materials, and methodical: development of rules ensuring a new approach to planning services, efficiency and effectiveness, with the possibility to cover the greatest number of users. With the implementation of the planned activities are aimed the following goals: improving quality and expanding opportunities for independent living of people with disabilities and people over 65 years old in inability for self service who live on the territory of Svoge Municipality, by providing an innovative social service in the community and at home. Specific goals: 1. Providing long-term health and social care for disadvantaged people in the municipality of Svoge by establishing a Centre for hourly service provision for social inclusion in the community or at home. 2. Return of the actual labor market of unemployed persons from the municipality and people who care for their relatives with disabilities and improving their qualifications. 3. Enabling the disadvantaged people to participate actively in the planning of service.
