Support for independent living in the municipality of Shumen

The project "Support for independent living in the municipality of Shumen" of the Shumen Municipality provides for the establishment and functioning of the Centre for hourly service provision for social inclusion in the community, or in home environment. The implementation of the project proposal will ensure access to integrated services (health, social, psychological) for persons from the target group and will enable the improvement of the quality of life of vulnerable groups in the municipality of Shumen and their families. Target groups for this project proposal are people with disabilities and their families and people over 65 with limited ability or unable to self-service. Users of the services under the procedure "New Alternatives" will be involved in this project after finishing providing the services. The project proposal envisages the establishment of management team of the project, which will organize, coordinate, execute, monitor and report on project activities for achievement of the targets. Management team of the project will consist of Director, accountant, coordinator and technical assistant, each of which has clearly defined responsibilities. For the establishment and functioning of the Centre for hourly service provision for social inclusion in the community, or in home environment, will be made repairment of municipal premises and will be purchased furniture and equipment, in order to ensure conditions for the provision of integrated services accessible for consumers. To achieve the objectives of the project proposal, the users will be provided with the opportunity to enjoy comprehensive and integrated services according to their individual needs and wishes. During the entire project will be carried out activities of information and publicity to promote opportunities for the provision of comprehensive and integrated support services in the community and in home environment, as well as informing the public about the EU financial contribution.
