SUPPORT FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING

This project will improve the access of people with disabilities and people over 65 years of age, unable to take care of themselves to social inclusion and healthcare services, in order to achieve independence and social inclusion. Integrated services will be propagated at home environment after the evaluation of the individual needs and complex approach. The project is inherently innovative and aims at improving the quality of life and promoting the social inclusion of minimum 60 persons with partial or complete inability to take care of themselves in Assenovgrad Municipality, thus the project fully complies with the Specific objective 1 from investment priority 3 “Improving the access of people with disabilities and people over 65 years of age, unable to take care of themselves to social inclusion and healthcare services” Project activities will upgrade the functioning Home Care Unit to the Home Respite, financed by the OP “Human Resources Development”, scheme “Domestic Assistant” with realizing period 2013-2014. The integrated services complex will be provided after the performance of individual evaluation over the individual needs and the horizontal principals for equal abilities and unacceptance of discrimination, gender equality will be complied. Leading principle of the activities execution will be placing the individual needs in the center and providing integrated access to health, social and other services, in accordance with the specific disadvantaged human needs, having in mind his particular evaluation. The project realization will be accordingly to the Updated National Strategy for Demographic Development of the Republic of Bulgaria (2012-2030), The National Strategy for Long Term Care and the National Strategy for reducing the poverty and promoting social inclusion 2020.
