Independent life and services at home environment in the municipality of Byala, Region of Ruse

The aim of the project proposal is the overcoming of the social exclusion and poverty, by improving the quality of life and access to social and health services of people with disabilities and people over 65 years, in response to theirs complex needs. By the project, Municipality of Byala creates a new Center for hourly services for social inclusion in the community or at home environment, including and supporting integrated social and health services at the municipal level. The services are based on individual social assessment and specific needs of the participants. The project supports and families of people from the target group, giving them the opportunity to return to the labor market. In the Center will be hired the following staff necessary for the overall functioning and providing services: Manager-1 person, Social worker-1 person, Social assistant-5 persons, Home assistant/ Nurse-10 persons, Personal assistant-81 persons and staff for specialized services - Nurse-1 person, Psychologist-1 person, Educator-1 person and Rehabilitator-1 person. The staff for services will be trained and will take psychological support and/or consulting. The customers will receive a motivational and/or psychological support according to their individual needs. Special transport for disabled people will be provided to transport persons to the Centre. In order to cover the functioning of the Centre will be purchased furniture and equipment. Project management team includes: Project leader, Accountant and Technical assistant. The publicity by the project provides distribution of the information about the specific aims and results of the project and EU financial contribution. The project will improve the promoting of equal opportunities for vulnerable groups and expand the capacity and variety of social services in the community or at home environment in municipality of Byala.
