Support the activities of the Unit to provide integrated social service in the community and at home in Dolna Mitropolia municipality

The present project aims at enlarging and supporting the activities of the Unit, formed under the procedure “Help at home”, for hourly provision of services for social inclusion in the municipality of Dolna Mitropolia. The project objective is to respond to the needs of the target groups. Except the services, provided by the staff, also a possibility for meetings with psychologist and special assistance from medics will be provided. The Unit will provide hourly services in home environment – for personal and health aid, for social support and for public utilities. This will ensure higher efficiency of the provided services using significantly lower financial sources through the involvement of flexible mechanisms for combined hourly use of different social services addressing the personal needs of every user. During the last procedure 262 persons had submitted applications to use these services, including elder persons at the age over 65 years, persons with disabilities and also persons, who could not serve themselves. From the whole number of persons, who had submitted applications, 120 are included, as the number of the assistants is the same. Launching the activities regarding the provision of services, contracts with 3 persons will be concluded – these persons will form the team of the Unit. Also contracts with another 5 persons will be concluded, who will provide hourly services in the community. In March 2016, after the end of the activities under “New Alternatives” scheme, new evaluation of the users will be done and additional staff will be hired for providing hourly services. Thus sustainability of the social activities in the municipality will be ensured. In common, at the end of the project the number of the employees providing services in the community is expected to be at least 88. Within the project an upgraded training will be carried out for the persons providing integrated social service aiming at being more prepared and competent in action.
