"Spport for independent life of elderly and people with disabilities"

The project complements and builds-up the provided social services, providing the following services: • "social assistant", started under the project "Support for dignified life" • "personal assistant", started under the procedure "New Alternatives". Main Objective - to create conditions for achievement of independent life and social inclusion of elderly and people with disabilities Specific objectives: • provision of adequate response to the target groups’ needs, through focused social services • development and build-up of the social system services, combining complex efforts for a long-term care • creating employment possibilities for the people, taking care of the representatives of the vulnerable groups • development of the social services system and the capacity of the people involved . Target groups are people with disabilities and their families and people above 65 with limited capacity or inability of caring for themselves. The project envisages provision of the service “personal assistant” to 56 users for 18 months, which will be provided by 56 personal assistants and the service “social assistant” to 40 users for 18 months , which will be provided by 10 social assistants. The main project activities, planned for the project implementation are: project management, publicity, ensuring the services provision, provision of the service social assistant and provision of the service personal assistant. Accompanying activities – creating of an external office with 2 employees, in which the individual plans of the users will be prepared and kept, applications for a specific type of support will be accepted, the time and way of provision of care/support will be defined; hiring of an outer executor with an experience in the sphere, who will do the assessment of the applicants for using the services, will prepare the methodology of the social services, will do the training of the personnel and will provide an ensuant support and supervision.
