Dignified and independent life for elderly and disabled people in Pavlikeni municipality

There are many people in Pavlikeni municipality, who due to poor health and/or old age, are partially or completely unable to take care of themselves. They need daily care, improvement of the access to social and medical services, and maintenance of social contacts. In order to satisfy the needs, Pavlikeni municipality makes this project so to improve the access to main social and medical services, achieve independence and social integration of elderly and disabled people by widening the volume and diversity of the social services that the municipality provides. The project plans the building-up of the activity of the existing Unit for part-time provision of services at home, part of the Municipal Home Care Social Service, and for the purpose people will be hired to realize the social services "Personal Assistant", "Social Assistant" and "Domestic Assistant". The following will be hired in the Unit: organizer of activities, technical assistant, medical person and consultant-psychologist. Project target groups: -People with disabilities and their families -People at 65 and more years of age with limitations or inability to take care of themselves Main project activities: 1.Project organization and management 2.Information and publicity 3.Provision of access to integrated services 4.Staff training for the services' provision 5.Provision of psychological support and/or supervision to staff providing the services 6.Psychological support to the services' users, depending on their individual needs 7.Activities on repair works, furniture and equipment Expected results: 1.Building-up of the existing and opening new social services 2.Increasing the number of people using the social services 3.Improving the life quality of elderly and disabled people
