"SUPPORT FOR INDEPENDENT AND DIGNIFIED LIFE OF DISABLED PEOPLE FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF SMOLYAN"

The main purpose of the project is to improve the quality of life of the people from Smolyan Municipality and their families by providing basic social and health services in the community or in domestic environment.The target group of the project is:1.Disabled people and their families 2.The people from the target group who benefit from the services under the measure “New Alternatives” and who will receive new assessment of their needs after the end of the project in 2016. The estimated period of the project is 20 months, 18 of which social services in domestic environment will be provided.The staff will consist of 80 people:30 personal assistants, 30 social assistants and 20 domestic assistants, a nurse, a rehabilitator and a psychologist.The leading principle of the project will be establishing the needs and necessities of every single person as a fundamental centerpiece and a final goal. The main actions to be performed are: 1.Management and accounting 2.Publicity 3.Application, assessment and rating of the candidates for using hourly services by the Department for Domestic Services 4.Application, assessment and rating of the staff who will provide domestic services 5. Providing access to integrated services as well as supporting and integrated intersectoral ones by the Department for Domestic Services, according to the specific needs of the disadvantaged persons, based on individually formed social assessment 6.Training of the staff who will provide the social services 7.Consultation and support of the staff who will provide the social services 8.Support of the consumers of the services according to their individual needs 9.Purchase of the necessary equipment for the qualified services in accordance with the project implementation. By the realization of the project we aim to cover around 150 people from the target group, who will receive the necessary support for an independent and dignified life.The total amount of the project consists of 500 000 levs.
