"Improving access to health and social services - the right to independent living in the municipality of Razlog"

The project proposal meets the targets set in the Priority Axis 2 "Reducing poverty and promoting social inclusion," and investment priority 3 "Improving access to services that are affordable, sustainable and high quality, including health and social services of general interest ' and also the Operational Program "Development of Human Resources". Provision of social services to persons with disabilities and adults with limitations or inability to self-service at home will support both the individuals themselves and dependent family members and will allow active participation in social and economic life of the community. Will contribute to preventing the institutionalization of persons with disabilities and the inclusion of a large group of people in real jobs. The implementation of this project will create the necessary prerequisites for decentralization of hourly services in the home. The analysis of the effects of the changing socio-economic environment in the municipality of Razlog during the crisis showed that the social status of people with disabilities is significantly reduced. The unemployment rate, structural changes in the economy and so on increased the social exclusion of this group of people and in many cases reduced the capabilities of their relatives to take adequate care of them. These findings lead to the conclusion that it is necessary to develop different type and scope of social services for people with disabilities in order to meet their specific needs. The strategy for the implementation of project activities is oriented towards the high quality of services and create good sustainable practices and their replication in decentralized service provision. The activities included in this project proposal are consistent with eligible activities as described in the Guidelines for Applicants and the identified needs of the potential users of the services
