“Support for independent life”

The project proposal of the Municipality of Balchik "Support for Independent Life" includes the provision of comprehensive social services for 72 disabled and people over 65 in the inability to self-service in order to overcome the consequences of social exclusion and poverty. For that purpose will be established “Center for hourly service provision for social inclusion in the community or in the domestic environment” which will provide integrated services to the specific needs of people at a disadvantage, namely: “Domestic assistant”; “Personal assistant”; “Psychological support and counseling personnel providing social services”; “Motivational and psychological support to the users of the service”; “Referring to medical specialists, government institutions and non-governmental organizations”; “Organization of the free time”; “Art therapy”; “Opportunity for learning basic computer skills”; The project will cover people in need, as well as from the town of Balchik and also from the villages in the municipality of Balchik. To every candidate consumer there will be prepared individual social assessment, according to specific needs, such as the type of services will comply with the consumer's decision. People providing social services will be determined after recruitment and will be trained. The project duration is 20 months with a deadline for the provision of social services 18 months extended by another six months sustainability of the project proposal on behalf of the Municipality of Balchik. The project is worth 499 728.32 BGN.
