Independent life in Bansko municipality

The project envisages provision of services social assistant, personal assistant and home assistant of living alone elderly people, those with disabilities and their families living in Bansko and villages in the municipality. The same services are envisaged for children with disabilities too, as well as advice for their loved ones in order to create conditions for alternative careers of parents who care for them. The implementation of the project will ensure the supply of social services that will allow the elderly living alone and those with disabilities to remain at home, while at the same time receive the necessary care and support. People who live alone will be able to conduct active social life and overcome social isolation. People with disabilities of working age will be facilitated in the execution of their daily commitments and their individual needs are adequately met. Bansko Municipality envisages providing sixty jobs for personal assistants, social assistants and home assistant, depending on the need of each user specified in his individual evaluation. We will support the work of the Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration (centre for hourly service provision for social inclusion in the community or at home), where sixty customers living alone elderly, those with disabilities and children with disabilities and their families will use integrated social services and will receive the necessary integrated social services that improve their quality of life, according to individual assessments.
