Empathy

Project "Empathy” aims at effective social integration of elderly and disabled people, based on respect of their individual needs and desires in orderto increase their well-being index and independent living.The project plans the creation and sustainable development of the Centre for In-Home Supportive Services which will provide social, health and psychological support to 12 adults and 60 people with disabilities /incl. 8 children/on hourly basis. There will be recruited and trained the following staff members: 1 social worker, 1 medical worker, 1 rehabilitation therapist, 1 driver, 46 personal assistants,4 domestic helpers. The team will be provided monthly with supervision and counseling. The following activities will be realized in the Centre: 1.Organization, management and project report; 2.Reparation works of facilities.Supply of equipment and office equipment.Purchase of specialized vehicle for people with disabilities; 3.Information and publicity; 4.Staff education of theCentre for In-Home Supportive Services.Provision of psychological support, counseling and supervision of staff.Development of Guidelines for the Centre; 5.Selection and needs assessment of persons willing to use the health andsocial in-home service. Signing contracts with service users; 6.Providing hourly health and social in-home services to suit individual needs and desires.Motivational and psychological support of service users.
