“Independent life through integrated social services in the Municipality of Banite”

The project proposal aims at improving the life-quality and the access to supportive and integrated inter-sector services for social inclusion of people with disabilities, including children and adults over 65 years of age, incapable of self-service, with which the project responds to the needs of the community in the municipality of Banite. Within the project a Center for part-time services in the community and domestic environment is established, by which complex actions for providing long-term care for the people in need are implemented. By repairs and equipment of the Center’s premises proper material and technical work conditions are provided for helping with the rehabilitation and the motor activity, for implementation of art therapy and occupational therapy in aid of the children and the adults. In accordance with an assessment of their needs, carried out by an interdisciplinary team of experts, the users receive integrated part-time services. They are offered by 45 Personal Assistants, Social Assistants and Domestic assistants, who grant personal care, help in the household, assistance for social inclusion also from 5 experts who grant health and social support to the users. During the project activities working outfits and personal protection devices are granted, supportive training, supervision and psychological support to the Center team are provided.
