Promoting social inclusion for independent living in the municipality of Stambolovo

This project includes the creation of a "Centre for hourly service provision for social inclusion in the community and at home", providing integrated services for people with disabilities and people over 65 GS inability to self-service. The Center will be recruited at least 46 persons providing services in the home, "personal assistant" of the worst cases of people with disabilities and at least 5 persons "home assistant" who will serve 25 users. In the newly created Center will provide further: basic medical care, rehabilitation and psychological support, as will be necessary to appoint a therapist, medical practitioner, psychologist and social worker. The main reason for choosing the services is the lack of a hospital in the municipality (only individual medical practices), which hinders access to basic medical care and rehabilitation services for people with disabilities and people over 65 During the preparation of the project proposal performed research among the target group to identify the needs and problems of people. A major problem for people with disabilities is the inability to move about to the point of providing social and health services due to lack of specialized transport. In this respect, this project provides for the purchase of specialized vehicle with which people with disabilities will be transported to the newly created Center, and the nearest hospital. Customers with the "personal assistant" project "New Alternatives" are 24, including 5 children and this project provides for them to continue to use this service due to their heavy medical condition requiring constant care. 1 more child, and 21 persons with disabilities in poor condition will be included as users of this service in the framework of this project. "Domestic assistant" will provide 25 persons with disabilities or living alone, with inability to self people over 65 who are not certified by the LEDC, despite testimony about it.
