Care at home

The project proposal is aimed at providing comprehensive care at home for people with disabilities and the elderly over 65 years old with difficulties in daily self-service in the municipality of Tervel. Its implementation will contribute to improving access to new integrated services to persons in need in order to overcome social exclusion and poverty while at the same time upgrading currently offered social services in the municipality. Integrated services will be implemented by a newly created functional unit "Centre for home care" for hourly service provision for social inclusion in the community or at home, namely the social, health and specialized. At the center will operate a health worker, social workers, phycilogist at least 37 persons employed as personal assistants and home helpers. The activities will be implemented over a period of 18 months and will cover at least 54 users. On one side this will provide employment for people of working age / including unemployed / and on the other will enable users to choose the required services and to organize their distribution and duration in time, to define personal assistants and home helpers to care for them according to their specific needs. The relatives of persons with disabilities and the elderly over 65 years old with difficulties in daily self-service will be able to return to the labor market. Improving the quality of complex services will be achieved through the included activities for motivational or another kind of support for users/consumers; consultation of staff. As a result of the implemented activities the quality of life of the representatives from the target groups will be improved by creating conditions and support for an effective exercise of their right to independent living and social inclusion, in respect of their personal choices and considered with their abilities and individual needs.
