Establish of a Daycare center for independent living in the municipality of Sopot

With the current project proposal Municipality of Sopot aims at providing access to integrated services based on specific needs of disadvantaged people by establishing a Center for social inclusion within community and domestic environment. The project implementation will improve the capacity of Municipality to provide integrated social and health services for supporting disadvantaged people and their families and people over 65, based on their specific needs; they will also be assisted in the process of retreating to the labor market. For the purposes of project effective organization, coordination, implementation, control and reporting the achievement of its goals, a project management team will be established. The project will also provide for information and publicity related to its specific aims, objectives and achieved results as well as EU financial contribution. For the project overall management and service provision there will be a personnel selected and hired consisting of: social assistant, domestic assistant/attendant personal assistant as well as a personnel necessary for the Center for providing specialized hourly services – nurse/medical auxiliary, psychologist, social worker. In order to guarantee for the quality and high standards of service provision in the Center a methodology for work will be developed. The Center personnel will undergo trainings and get psychological support and/or consulting as well as regular supervision. The Center’s customers/clients will be given motivational or psychological support according to their individual needs. The Municipality of Sopot will provide premises, which will be renovated and equipped for the purposes of the Center.
