TOGETHER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING

Overall objective:To apply a new approach for providing integrated services in home environment and to break the established stereotypes.Specific objectives: To create opportunities for persons with disabilities to be actively involved in planning the services they need. To support families who have a family-member, including children with permanent disability, allowing professional development of those involved in caring for a such person with permanent disability. To reduce the risk of dependence on institutional care of people in need of service assistance.Project activities: 1. Organization and project management. 2. Information and publicity. 3. Upgrading and expanding the activities of the Unit for services at home. 4. Needs assessment of the candidates to be users of services, staff training and supervision. 5. Provision of integrated services to persons with disabilities /including children/.Through the project implementation will be provided integrated services for people with disabilities including children. It will be achieved by combining complex steps towards providing caring, including social and health services, psychological support and rehabilitation at home. The provision of services will improve the quality of life of vulnerable groups, will prevent of social exclusion and accommodation in specialized institutions for elderly care. The project will support both the people involved in this activity and the dependent family members and will allow for more active participation in social economic life of the community. It will provide opportunities for the return of those who care for loved ones with disabilities in the real labor market.
