Accept me 2015

The hereby operation complements and upgrades the former Operation "Accept me", financed under „Human Resources Development” Operational Programme 2007-2013. It contributed to the implementation at national level of a new approach of provision of "Foster care", and to the expansion the opportunities for its development in a decentralized manner. The operation is aimed at improving and expanding the scope of the "foster care" and consolidating service delivery at local level as an alternative form of raising children at risk in a family environment. It contains an innovative element in terms of the support, aimed at developing a „Specialized foster care" for children with disabilities, children who are victims of violence or trafficking, children, unaccompanied refugees, as well as at measures, aimed at improving the quality of foster care through monitoring. Special focus will be put on the placement of children under 3 years of age. Established and current within the project "I have a family, too" foster parents can switch to the "Accept me 2015" to ensure the interests of children, placed in foster families, avoiding termination of accommodation, confirmed by the Court of these children and their falling back into a specialized institution. The new project will strengthen service delivery at the local level in the municipalities included in the project "I have a family, too" as well as in other municipalities, providing "foster care" as an alternative form of raising children at risk in a family environment. The specifics of the project requires involvement of different actors in the organization and management of the implementation of an innovative model of interaction in terms of planning and delivery of social service "Foster Care" in a decentralized manner by the clear allocation of responsibilities between ASA and partner-municipalities, with the active participation of non-governmental organizations at all stages of the project activities.
