Services for early childhood development in Strazhitsa Municipality.

The project proposal of Strazhitsa municipality aims to prevent social exclusion and reduce child poverty by investing in early child development. The project will continue the work of the existing Project Inclusion integrated services for early childhood development aimed at children up to age 7 from vulnerable groups, including children with disabilities and their families and future parents. With the implementation of the project will provide support for children in infancy and their families to improve access to health care, formation of parenting skills, improving the family environment, increasing the school readiness of children for inclusion in the educational system and prevent placement of children in institutions. The project plan is to achieve limiting transmission of poverty between generations. The main actions of the project proposal to achieve the above objectives are: Early intervention of disabilities; Individual educational support for children with disabilities; Family counseling and support, individual and group work with parents, psychological support to parents; Child health counseling and disease prevention; Additional teacher training to improve school readiness. The project will be implemented throughout the municipality. Planned duration is 67 months, 66 months for the operation of services. The expected results of the project are: forming health culture for proper upbringing of children in the target group, and prevention of health risks; Development of parental capacity, comprehensive support and advice to parents from vulnerable groups; Improved school readiness of children from the target group and affording an equal start in school; Prevent the placement of children in institutions; Ensuring sustainability of services for early childhood development.
