Services for early childhood development in the Municipality of Kyustendil

With this project proposal the Municipality of Kyustendil implements its strategic objective to formulate and find an adequate response to the complex challenges, that face the system of social services for children at risk in the process of providing a natural family environment by developing on its territory flexible, alternative and responsible services to meet the changing needs of users. By realizing of the project proposal will be completed and supported the activities of the successfully created Center for Services of Early Child Development funded with Social Inclusion Project. The accumulated 13-months experience of the work of the consultants is a guarantee for quality provision of integrated medical, social and educational services for children and their families. The integrated services for early child development are aimed at children under 7 years of vulnerable groups, incl. children with disabilities and their families and future parents too. The present project proposal ensures prevention of social exclusion and limits the transmission of poverty across generations. It aims resistance to introduced good practices for early assessment of the specific needs of family support, specialized consulting based on resource capabilitiesas well as reducing child poverty by investing in their early childhood development, prevention of subsequent institutional care or educational dropping out and also a social and a psychological support and protection from family violence or abandonment. The project proposal will cover all target groups in the Municipality of Kyustendil, as will be done adequate planning of services, recorded the increase in their demand for risk groups in the community. The planned activities will be implemented in Center, offering medical, social and education services carrying out by the method of integrated approach and schedule of individual and group sessions in the halls of therapy and mobile work / field work.
