A Chance for Our Children

Investments in care from infancy are key precondition for providing opportunities for best start of life of all children, fostering their complete personal development, as well as for interrupting the transmission of poverty from generation to generation. It is of utmost importance to develop innovative and integrated services for early childhood development that would help prevent abandonment of children and providing opportunities for bringing up in a family environment. The investment in infancy reduces the expenses of healthcare, education and social systems that would have to deal with these problems at a later stage. The project aims at ensuring provision of services that comprise all the necessary cares for a child in order to secure its wright of survival, protection and care that guarantee its best growth. The services and support are based on the strengths of the child. The ambition is to introduce an integrated approach directed at risk prevention in early childhood. As a result the wright to life of every child as well as opportunities to fulfil its potential will be secured and will help eliminate the disadvantage as a main mean to fight the poverty. For that purpose the following services will be carried out: • Early intervention of disabilities • Individual pedagogical support to children with disabilities • Provision of psychological support and consultation of future and current parents to formation and development of parenting skills; Family counseling and support, Individual and group approach to children and families including those, which do not come from vulnerable groups in order to attend kindergarten • Support for securing children’s health consultation and activities aimed at disease prevention • Additional pedagogical support for raise the school readiness of children for equal start in school • Management and application of the services.
