Community centre for children and families - Varna

The project aims at social exclusion prevention and poverty reduction through provision of integrated services supporting children between 0 and 7 years old and their families. The services have complex character and are directed to family support and child raising as well as improving the connections between children and parents. The services are subdivided with respect to target groups – services for future parents, services for parents and children up to the age of 3 and up to the age of 7. The focus of services for children up to the age of 3 and their families is set mainly upon creation and development parental skills. The support of future parents and parents with very young children is implemented in two ways: through mobile work and through services, provided by the well-equipped Community centre. The mobile work aims to support parents in their efforts to meet the demands of the child and cope with the challenges of the surrounding environment. The services, provided outside the home of the child and its family are intended to create a relevant to the needs of the users space. The children between 3 and 7 should be integrated in the Kindergartens and better prepared for schools. Along with the other services, main services are focused on group and individual work with children and their families. The families which will not be able to provide their own transportation will be supported. The implementation of the project activities will provide for the maintenance of the existing integrated services for early child development within the Social inclusion project /financed with a loan from the International Reconstruction and Development Bank in the period 2008 – 2015/
