Supported child development

Project proposal builds implemented activities, associated with prevention of social exclusion of children up to 7 years old and their parents. Project activities correspond fully with the main purpose of the procedure “Services for early childhood development“ to support children and their families by improving access to health care, formation of parenting skills, improving the family environment, increasing school readiness of children and the prevention of placement of children in institution. The project includes following activities: - Activities for individual educational support for children with disabilities; - Provision of psychological support and advice to parents (including future parents) for formation and development of parenting skills; - Family counseling and support to increase parental capacity; - Individual and group work with children and parents to change attitudes about their participation in educational process; - Support for provision of health advice and activities on disease prevention; - Additional teacher training to increase the school readiness of children for equal start in school; - Publicity and information. Expected results: - 10 children with disability received individual pedagogical support; - Provided psychological support and counseling to 30 families for the formation and development of parenting skills; - Conducted 36 group family counselling to increase parenting capacity, as well as sessions of individual and group work with children and parents for promotion and participation in the educational process at an early age; - Provide health advice to 150 children in the municipality Krushari; - Held additional teacher training to increase the school readiness of 30 children for a period of 2 years - Implemented initiatives for timely informing the public about the purposes, target groups, activities, results of the project and funding sources.
