“Active inclusion of people with disabilities and their families for a successful realization”

Social policy of Omurtag Municipality aims to improve the living standards of people with disabilities, as the implementation of the Project Proposal “Active inclusion of people with disabilities and their families for a successful realization” will give the disabled people and their families the opportunity to improve their living standards, as it will also enable their social inclusion and community involvement, active participation in the labour market and a new start in life. An integrated social service for people with disabilities and their families will be provided in the home environment in order to enhance equal opportunities and to extend the range, the diversity and the purposefulness of the social services offered. A motivational training is envisioned aimed at acquiring of skills essential for an active labour market behavior, as well as a professional qualification training for the family members, in whose care the people with disabilities are placed. The Project will boost accessibility of social services, as it will also help combat poverty and social exclusion of the people with disabilities on the one hand, and give their next of kin opportunities for realization in the labour market on the other hand.
