Establishment of a Day Care Center for Disabled Persons, including with severe multiple disabilities in the city of Plovdiv

The main focus of the project is to provide quality care for people with disabilities, including multiple severe disabilities, and their families, on the territory of the Municipality of Plovdiv. To achieve this goal a center for people with disabilities, including multiple severe disabilities will be established, that will provide comprehensive support to target groups by providing integrated social services in the community. The efficient functioning of the Center will be ensured by its highly qualified and trained personnel consisting of 20 specialists with experience in various fields such as healthcare, social and consultative activities, psychological and therapeutic support, etc. The Center will specialize in providing supportive services: providing daily and hourly care for disabled people in the center; mobile work, counseling, information and support, including care for the target group; providing therapeutic and specialized assistance, including rehabilitation and kinesitherapy; providing short-term respite care services by supporting families which care for people with disabilities; as well as the implementation of integrated approaches to motivate and encourage labor market participation of people with disabilities and their family member carers. The expected outcomes of the realization of the project activities are: to provide permanent access to integrated social services for the target group in the city of Plovdiv through theestablished Center for disabled people, which will provide improvement in their way and quality of life, including optimization of the conditions for implementing the processes of full inclusion in the society and increasing the socio-economic activity of the disabled, incl. severely disabled, and their families.
