Establishment of a Centre for complex care for people with disabilities, including people with severe disabilities in Ruse Municipality

The project proposal is in implementation of the National strategy for long-term care, aimed at: deinstitutionalization of care for people with disabilities and the elderly; development of home care services for people with disabilities and support for families with increased responsibility for dependent family members; enhancing the cooperation between social and health services, incl. development of innovative cross-sectoral services, as well as implementation of an integrated approach for developing services for people with disabilities In the implementation of the activities, conditions and prerequisites will be created for investment in complex integrated measures, aimed at improving access to social and health services for people with disabilities, incl. people with severe multiple disabilities, providing support for their families by seeking opportunities for people who provide care to disabled family members to return to the labour market Services and quality care for people with disabilities will be provided under the project, incl. people with severe disabilities, through the support for development of Centre for complex care for these people and their families. The established Centre will provide daily and hourly services: care, rehabilitation, therapy, psychological support, counseling, providing information and support, incl. support for home carers, mobile services and other supporting activities, according to the specifics and needs of the target group. The users will also be provided substitute care for up to 14 days per year, during which the people with disabilities will be provided with 24 hour care by the team, in order to unburden their relatives The project will build upon the achieved good results under OP “Human Resources Development”, by providing a wider range and spectrum of the activities in order to provide integrated services, according to the needs of the disabled person and to facilitate access to employment of vulnerable groups
