The "Support for Independent Living"

The "Support for Independent Living" project encourages the social inclusion and personal development of young people living in residential services. The project target group is 14 kids and youngsters from the Family Type Accommodation Center in Dupnitsa and 8 young people from the Family Type Center for People with Mental Disabilities in the municipality of Bobov Dol. The project implements activities and measures to develop further skills for independent living, learning and working through the creation and implementation of programs for individual and group work that are to be in support of the personal development and social inclusion of the young people with the following main focus: 1. Conducting therapeutic activities to compensate for developmental difficulties 2. Involvement of young people in interest groups, finding and developing talents in the field of stage and dance art 3. Professional development through work realization in common and a specialized (secure and integrated) environment. 4. Assisting with the use of integrated cross-sector social services in the community and supporting local social structures and institutions for further on-going implementation of individual programs for personal development and full social inclusion. 5. Working with the parents and the local community of some of the young people included in the project. The main priority of the project is to provide conditions for independent living for the children and the young people from the center in Dupnitsa and an organization for creating jobs in a specialized environment for some of the young people from the center in Bobov Dol.
