I can do it!

Project's aim is to support the social life of children and young people settled in the Center for Family-type Accommodation for Children and Youths with Disabilities, Atia village. By engaging them in activities that would develop their personality and intellect and thus to enhance their confidence and independence in the wider social environment. We would like to provide 7 social programs in 18 months: Individual psychological support to overcome emotional, behavioral and learning difficulties; Communication skills; Food - my way of development and independent living; Art therapy; Fairy and rhythm therapies; Grandmother and grandchild Volunteer Program and Strandja Environmental Education Program. A key competence acquisition training of Digital Competence, level 4 is planned. Based on the individual abilities of the children, they will be divided into 3 groups: basic computer skills; working with specialized software with gaze-based control; management of a talking point (for the blind). Two art clubs are being opened - Pottery and Sgraffito Ceramics and ‘Weaving. The participants of Strandja program will spend one week in the wild, and the ones of Food and Pottery courses will take part into some organized tours. The trips are a great chance for the children to visit some new places, different people and to enrich their life experience. The Community support for social inclusion activity is pretty important for achieving the objectives of the project. The young people will have the chance to practise professions at three tourism companies. The implementation of the planned activities will involve a team of experienced professionals - psychologists, art therapists, computer specialists, potters and weavers. Young people from Equilibrium association and families from the Saint Marena women association (Sozopol) will take part into some volunteer initiatives. The total cost of the direct eligible costs is 109433 BGN and the project proposal's cost is 1203376 BGN.
