KEY TO THE FUTURE

The project “Key to the Future” aims at promoting and developing measures for social inclusion of children and youth at risk, placed in residential services. Project’s specific objectives are: 1. To increase the skills of the children and the youths placed in residential services for full inclusion in the community life, to build up of belonging and to understand the responsibility for their own personal development. 2. To develop and implement educational, therapeutic and support programs that address the strengths and resources of children and young people and their families in finding perspectives and achieving personal realizations. 3. To develop, support and promote good practices to achieve social recovery and prevent the long-term institutionalization of children and young people at risk. The project will be implemented in the cities of Shumen, Stara Zagora and Sofia and will cover 128 children and young people, placed in 11 Family-type Centers and 1 Crisis Center and their families. For 24 months, experts from the organization will implement programs for group and individual work with the target groups: "My Life Project " program will be with a therapeutic focus on building skills to understand own life history, understanding and accepting difficulties, developing belonging, finding meaning and perspectives. "My Realization Project" program will be with socio-educational program to support the educational development, improving the communication skills, self-presentation and problem solving, key competence training, preparation for self-reliance and realization in the labor market. - "Better Together" Program for parents will support, inform and involve parents and relatives in sharing care, mutually re-establishing relationships, and realizing the need for a common life perspective. The implementation of the programs will be accompanied by activities to provide information and communication on the project in line with HRDP requirements.
