"Facilitation of access to employment of disadvantaged groups through the development of social economy in the Municipality of Pirdop"

The current project proposal adheres to some of the key objectives of the EU strategy "Europe 2020", namely combating poverty, encouraging social inclusion and higher employment. The project envisages the objectives to be achieved by creating a social enterprise to the Municipality of Pirdop in which to include representatives of disadvantaged groups. The main services that the enterprise will provide are associated with the maintenance, cleaning and conservation of the grasslands in the municipality. Social enterprise as an essential element of the social economy allows to solve the major problems existing and inherent in any market economy including ours. In general terms, these problems are related to the inability for professional development of people with disabilities, people with low education, people from marginalized groups and other representatives of socially disadvantaged groups in society. Because the risk of social exclusion and isolation faced by disadvantaged people, due to problems such as lack of good education, poor health and other of the above groups, the tools of the social economy are serious chance for a better life and often an only one. The project is aimed at solving the problems with the implementation of the labor market of the two main target groups - "people with disabilities" and "people disadvantaged in the labor market and other socially excluded persons". Considering the problems and needs inherent to the target groups, the project aims to create the appropriate conditions for a functioning social enterprise through the purchase of necessary equipment, providing advice and professional councils, commissioning the work process with the help of mentors and others. All is recorded in the project proposal and action follow the Municipal Development Plan of the Municipality of Pirdop 2014-2020.
