Support for social inclusion and professional integration of vulnerable groups in the area "Krastova Gora"- Luki Municipality by creating social enterprise "Eco Village BEL"

The focus of the project is to provide support for professional and social integration of people with mental disabilities, people disadvantaged in the labor market and other socially excluded persons by improving their skills and motivation for professional employment in activities related to the production of unique for the region souvenirs, household objects, artworks and high quality local food products as well as various art- and work-therapeutic services. The project aims at creating a social enterprise "Ecovillage Bell" Ltd. through which to realize the therapeutic care, integration, training and involvement in employment of 35 persons with mental disabilities and also long-term unemployed from difficult to access and poor areas in the Eastern Rhodopes, specifically the villages of Borovo , Dzhurkovo, Drianovo, Zdravets, Lukavitsa, Manastir, Yugovo, Belitsa and the city of Luki. The project also envisages researching the market realization of the products and services produced, as well as promoting the social mission, the effect of the enterprise operation and the provided goods and services, the social economy and social entrepreneurship before stakeholders from the region and the country. A creative and therapeutic community space will be established, located in a massive building with adjacent landscaped garden in the center of the village of Belitsa, encompassing various workshops, an administrative office and a hall for trainings and seminars. In these workshops the representatives of vulnerable groups, besides producing items for sale, will convey their knowledge and skills related to recovery and revival of traditional arts and crafts to tourists and other target customers. Varied work-therapeutic services will be offered in the workshops thus including customers into the local community and the social mission of the enterprise.
