Development of Social Entrepreneurship in Koprivshtitsa Municipality

The project is aimed at developing social entrepreneurship in Koprivshtitsa Municipality by establishing a new social enterprise so as to provide support for social inclusion of vulnerable groups through the creation of appropriate conditions for their professional integration in the social economy. The enterprise will produce traditional souvenirs and for this purpose will be identified disadvantaged in the labour market and other socially excluded persons (inactive and unemployed) to be engaged in the psychological support and motivation actions, and additionally some of them in the social and professional integration activities. The people who will be provided employment in the enterprise will also be trained to acquire professions and specialties needed for the production. Their working places will be set in the premises of the enterprise that will be suitably refurbished and equipped within the project. Persons will be employed for a period of 12 months, as for the first half of the time mentors will be provided. Another important activity for the successful operation of the enterprise is the study of the demand and opportunities for marketing of the manufactured goods. Within it will be explored the market, the needs of users, sales channels, price levels of the goods and will also be formulated forecasts of the demand for the products of the social enterprise. This would create conditions to ensure the sustainable operation of the enterprise and the achieved project results. Contributing to this will be the participation of the municipality in the new enterprise, incl. by providing the executives/team of the enterprise (manager, sales manager and finance manager). Thus, after the implementation of the project in Koprivshtitsa Municipality will be created a new social enterprise that is sustainable over time - both in organizational and financial terms.
