Establishing a social enterprise "Sartorial factory" in Knezha

Knezha municipality is located in northwestern Bulgaria, a region characterized by high unemployment and demographic crisis. The municipality except statesmanship and administrative role should perform a social role, manifested by the creation of a social enterprise. Unemployment in the region, notably youth and that of people aged over 50 years is high and tends to increase as most people are inapplicable or low qualifications and they lack specific professional experience. With the implementation of the project Municipality Knezha aims to create social enterprise - sartorial factory that reflects the social role and concern of the municipality by providing new services of social return, hire new employees, qualify them and equip their offices with high-tech equipment, on the other hand to help overcome the high levels of unemployment and easier integration into the labor market. The main target group of the project consists of 19 persons - disadvantaged in the labor market and / or other socially excluded persons, in particular, is directed at young people under 29 and unemployed persons over 50 years of age. With the implementation of the project Knezha municipality will create a social enterprise providing products and services with a social return and will create 19 new jobs for the disadvantaged in the labor market. This municipality will increase its social role in the community, will give an example of entrepreneurship and stimulate the local economy in an innovative way for Bulgaria - by creating a social enterprise. Knezha municipality will reduce poverty in the region and promote social inclusion as it will facilitate access to employment and support social inclusion of vulnerable groups through the creation of appropriate conditions for their professional integration in the social economy.
