"Social Enterprise for Landscaping and Urban Development in the Municipality of Avren"

The project will be implemented in Avren municipality, Varna district.The municipality is rural, with high unemployment and an aging population. A large proportion of the unemployed have a low level of education and a lack of motivation to work. The need to develop the social economy is of strategic importance for creating an effective mechanism to prevent long-term unemployment. Within the framework of the project it will be created a "Social Enterprise for Landscaping and Urban Development in the Municipality of Avren" with subject of activity landscaping and urbanization of municipal / private sites and areas. A 5-year development program for the SE will be developed. It will describe activities to achieve positive social impacts such as voluntary actions and donation campaigns on cleaning public areas. The target group includes 40 persons - long-term unemployed, disabled persons, over 50 years old, with ciel motivation and creating skills for social and professional integration. 10 of them will be included in vocational training and a total of 32 in subsidized employment for a period of 12 months in the SE. Avren will provide sustainability while retaining full-time employment for 16 target group members after the completion of the project for a min. of 6 mounts. The activities are: Creation of SE, Technical provision of SE, Identification of the target group, Motivation of the target group, Vocational training of some of the persons to be employed in the social enterprise; Functioning of the SE; Exploring the demand and the opportunities for market realization of the provided services; Conducting social marketing and promoting the SE. Results: Established conditions for development of the social economy; 40 people helped to participate in social and professional life; increased professional qualification of 10 persons, employment of 32; analyzed good practices for social entrepreneurship; elaborated marketing strategy of social enterprise.
