CROIX VIA - a social entrepreneurial training centre

“CROIX VIA” is a project aiming at establishing a training centre and a digital business start-up facility for 11 disadvantaged or socially excluded from the labour market individuals, willing to start-up their own on-line social enterprise using on-line social platform. Creating such a digital presence is an unique opportunity for these groups of people for independent living via economic activity without the associated costs of a traditional office work, with the only requirement of a reliable internet connection. Creating traditional operations with physical office, market research, product development, distribution and after sales care requires a completely different set of skills than the one needed for establishing “e-brand” operations, which is and not limited to initial operating capital, social knowledge, digital and 'e-commerce' and 'e-business' skills and experience. The project aims at selecting, training, mentoring and offering full time employment for up to 12 months for 11 disadvantaged or socially excluded from the labour market individuals; research, develop and establish at least 1 'on-line' social enterprise ; social product; social service or platform by the end of the project time line. The project aims at selecting the beneficiaries; providing psychological motivation; training and mentoring in how to develop and populate a web site; how to develop an e-product and establish and maintain on-line customer relations; how to develop e-channels of distribution, e-marketing via social media; and establish on-line reputation - skills, which are different to traditional business ones. The project offers complexity of business training in a social context via social enterprneurialship resulting in independent living via economic activity. The project envisages long term rental of office space, making a “fit for purpose” centre, not only for training purposes but to offer multi-functional shared office space with 11 working stations and infrastructure.
