Social enterprise "Eagle Valley" Ltd.

This project proposal's main objective is through public support to build on the activities of "Eagle Valley" Ltd. to be fully operational as a Social Enterprise (SE). A new model of SE will be implemented, based on labor intensive technologies, putting public benefit before the profit and offering lower prices for socially important goods amp; services. So far the Applicant has made investments for over 80 000 lev to purchase private land (in the town of Simeonovgrad incl. workshop for carpentry and joinery). It also ensured equipment and furniture for the activities. Already 3 representatives of the target groups are engaged to work in this 2017. "Eagle Valley" Ltd has conducted a market research for manufacturing range of goods amp; services which will be offered. It contacted local authorities, local labor offices, potential partners and customers. As a result, it was found that due to the state policy on energy efficiency and support for the construction of facilities for agricultural and non-agricultural activities financially supported by various programs, and the interest of foreign and local investors to the region of Haskovo, there are favorable prospects for selling the goods amp; services of the Applicant. This project is seeking public support to expand operations and to upgrade the investment initiative of the Candidate to work as SE, in line with his values. As a result 6 workers from the target groups (young people up to '29 years incl. long-term unemployed or inactive people, unemployed over 54 years old, and from ethnic minorities) will be recruited. This will ensure the employment of the appointed persons from the target groups and they will be given the opportunity for social integration, as well through the creation of the appropriate conditions for their professional integration in the sphere of the social economy is also possible.
