Social enterprise for bio-cosmetics at association "Hope for us"

The NGO Hope for us 2008 is established by young people, who has grown up at institutions for children without parental care and their supporters. Our proposal aims at supporting a social enterprise for production of hand-made bio cosmetics established by the association about 1 year ago. Due to the efforts of the core team of the organisation, hard volunteer work and financial support of foreign donors it has passed the initial investment and piloting stage and currently is ready to start real business activities with employment of a full time working team. The financing from this program will enable the NGO to: - hire 9 unemployed people, 7 of them from the groups which are at uncompetitive, deprived position on the labour market and - to provide supportive work environment for their labour and social integration along with a supportive and coaching team, which will help the unemployed people who at risk for social exclusion to obtain work and social habits, create high self-esteem and overcome their psycho-emotional deficiencies - to obtain equipment, raw materials and all resources, needed to conduct the production, marketing and social activities within 12 months which will help to accomplish the social and business goals of the social enterprise As the enterprise already has certified for production facility and 15 products, it only needs capital for "turning the wheel" of the business. Due to its modern concept of producing bio products that are in growing demand now-a-days and opportunities of on-line trade, the started business has high potential for return of investments and growth - not only in Bulgaria but also abroad. Applying the principle of re-investing most of the profit in new socially favourable employment opportunities, the social business for biocosmetics will become a source of self-financing of the organisation long term and an engine of developing the social economy in Bulgaria
