Better social services to older people through development of social entrepreneurship at Medicom social plus Ltd.

The project of Medicom Social Plus Ltd. aims to facilitate the access to employability and to provide support for social inclusion of vulnerable groups through creation of suitable conditions for their professional integration in the sphere of social economy and development of social entrepreneurship. This will be done through psychological support and motivation of 24 people with vulnerable state on the labour market in Sofia, including unemployed people with lower level of competitiveness on the labour market - long-term unemployed, unemployed single parents, unemployed people above 54 years, as well as unemployed people with permanent disabilities, increasing the qualification of 16 from these people through vocational training for part of profession "Caregiver", Ref: 723020, 2nd stage of professional qualification, specialty "Health Care", and hiring these 16 people at the Social Entrepreneurship Division of Medicom Social Plus Ltd. for a period of 12 months on the position "Social Assistant", Ref: 5322-1003. The Social Entrepreneurship Division of Medicom Social Plus Ltd. itself will increase its management capacity, will research the possibilities for market realisation of provision of social services to older people through social entrepreneurship in Sofia and in the country, as well as international experience in this area, and will popularize the provided services to representatives of the project target groups. This will allow more representatives of the target groups to go out of isolation, to be employed and to successfully integrate in the sphere of social economy. The project is implemented in partnership with Medicom - Consult Ltd. In a long-term period, Medicom Social Plus Ltd. through its Social Entrepreneurship Division will be able to provide better social services on affordable prices to older people, which will reduce their risk from social isolation, negligence and subsequent institutionalisation.
