Setting up a social enterprise Landscaping and public open spaces maintenance in the municipality of Gotse Delchev

The project proposal is intended to provide work opportunities and ensure social inclusion of people in disadvantaged conditions (including people with disabilities) as well as other socially excluded groups of people, who are eligible according to the criteria of the current Call for proposals. To achieve this, the Municipality of Gotse Delchev has decided to set up a new social enterprise. Over a period of 12 months the enterprise will employ 14 people from the target groups on labour contracts. These 12 employees received vocational training in the profession of "Worker in Landscaping" (degree "Landscaping and Floriculture"). The local Employment Service Directorate has been providing the vocational training as part of the National employment action plans for 2016 and 2017. The newly created social enterprise will be in charge of the landscape enhancement and maintenance of 40 decares of green areas, alleys, and open spaces of the local hospital and the social institutions owned by the Municipality of Gotse Delchev. Upon completion of the project 7 of the employees will have their labour contracts extended for a minimum of six months under the same terms and conditions as stipulated during the project duration.
