Social inclusion through social entrepreneurship

Vekan Group Ltd. is a small enterprise with main activities in the field of IT - building and maintenance of web based projects, online tradeing and online marketing. The company has been operating since 2015, employing 12 person on labour contracts. 11 projects have been implemented under the Youth Employment Program and currently implementing the "New Workplace" project. Within these projects, 25 unemployed persons were employed. Deepening social problems in society, related to the employment of a large part of the Bulgarian population included in the vulnerable groups, and the growing risk of social exclusion require taking various measures, both by the state and by the businesses. This requires developing a project whose main goal is to provide support for social inclusion of vulnerable groups in social economy by creating conditions for employment and professional integration. It can be achieved through the implementation of 2 specific objectives: 1) providing employment for the representatives of the target groups and development of social entrepreneurship; and 2) creating appropriate working conditions for work of newly appointed persons. These objectives will be achieved through the realization of two main activities: 1) Providing employment for 11 unemployed persons; and 2) Equipping of newly created jobs. In activities will be included 8 unemployed youths up to 29, 3 unemployed over 54. As a result of these activities, a new social enterprise will be created in which handicrafts will be produced and sold online. It will employ 11 persons for one year and will create appropriate working conditions by purchasing new equipment, will increase their competitiveness and after the completion of the project will create additional employment for 6 months for 6 persons.
