Establishing of a social enterprise for Specialized Goods and Innovative Services for Visually Impaired Persons

This project aims to create a social enterprise within the company "BG Assist OOD". The social enterprise is expected to be established as a separate department by creating mechanisms to ensure that the profit that the department generates will be reinvested in maintaining and expanding the social enterprise activities. It will be formed a social enterprise team to ensure effective management. The team will consist of three employees - one person at the position of "Social entrepreneur", who is planed to be the manager of "BG Assist OOD" Mr. N. Stanchev who has extensive experience in working with members of vulnerable groups and in project management. The other two team members will be representatives of the target group, namely people with visual impairments who will occupy positions "Social work Assistant in a social enterprise" and “Trainer – IT”. The social enterprise will significantly expand the opportunities for effective social inclusion of the target group persons, as total of 6 persons with disabilities will be employed in relation to the implementation of the social enterprise activities. The new department will offer specialized goods and innovative remote services, prioritising users with visual disabilities. Services will be provided through the project built web platform - fully-accessible for customers and employees. Four of the new employed persons will be directly responsible for providing the service: 2 persons in position of "Operator - helping users" and 2 in position of "Technical assistant". Five persons from the target group will be trained in key competence 4 - "Digital competence" before starting their jobs to improve the level of their theoretical knowledge and practical skills. A career consultant will be involved. This will facilitate the process of the employees adaptation to work.
