Social Innovations for a Worthy Life in Strazhitsa Municipality

The project "Social Innovations for a Worthy Life in Strazhitsa Municipality" will build on the results achieved in the Independent Living scheme by expanding the range of services, namely introducing innovative services for the local community in the home environment for people with self-care difficulties. The project target group is people with disabilities and people over 65 with limited or inability to self-service. Given the demographic situation in Strazhitsa Municipality, related to the aging of the population, the need for care for the elderly grows. The main problems of people over 65 and people with disabilities are: partial or complete inability to self-service at home, health problems, inability to perform their daily activities, lack of social contacts leading to social exclusion. Another problem of the target group is the lack of access to health services, the medical specialists are concentrated in the city, there is also lack of public transport. Strazhitsa Municipality aims and is motivated to solve the problems of the target group by providing a complex of social health services, according to the specific needs of the people, with the social services and the psychological support being built with the new innovative elements - mobile services, and a racist, including consumers in cultural events. This project proposal will improve access to social and health services, psychological support, independence and social inclusion for the elderly and people with disabilities. The project promotes equal opportunities for vulnerable groups by expanding the volume, diversity and purposefulness of social services provided in the community. Social workers, social workers, nurses, psychologists, supervisors, physicians, rehabilitators and social workers will be appointed to provide the social-health services complex to support the target group.
