"Socio-economic integration in Lukovit"

The project "Socio-economic integration in Lukovit" includes integrated measures for the inclusion of the Roma vulnerable groups in Lukovit. Partners under this project are the Knowledge Association-Lovech and four municipal schools-two secondary school;one primary school and one primary segregated school.The Non-Governmental Organisation will carry out the activities in the both operational programs. The main activities of the project are: OPERATIONAL PROGRAMME Human Resources Development 1.Inclusion in employment-providing subsidized employment for 56 unemployed persons of Roma origin and other people from high poverty risk groups, as well as disabled persons or members of other disadvantaged groups. 2.Center for public support and a community center in East Quarter of the town of Lukovit-opening of a Public support center with a social worker,a pedagogue,a speech therapist and the appointment of a community worker.The Public support center and its affiliate will provide social and health services to about 200 children,women and mothers. 3.Development of local communities and overcoming the negative stereotypes work with NGOS and external contractors with around 240 children and young people from the Roma community. OPERATIONAL PROGRAMME Science and Education for Smart Growth 2014-2020 1.Additional training in Bulgarian language of students, for whom the Bulgarian language is not a mother tongue - about 450 students 2.Additional activities for students at risk of dropping out from school - about 140 students 3.Support for ethnic minorities students to continue their education in secondary schools and to complete successfully their secondary education-200 students 4.Working with parents-about 400 parents will be covered under this activity. 5.Overcoming negative public attitudes-work with NGOs-about 150 students will be covered under this activity. Five educational mediators of Roma origin will be appointed under the framework of this project.
