Our Future in Our Hands - Integrated and Sustainable Support for the Activation and Development of the Roma Community in Sredets Municipality

The present project proposal is aimed at overcoming the particularly acute and interrelated problems of the Roma community in Sredets Municipality and implements an Action Plan for Integration Policies of the Municipality of Sredets. The envisaged activities of OPHRD are: Complex Actions in Support of Market Integration by creating new jobs, improving access to social and health services for vulnerable groups, and developing local communities to overcome negative stereotypes, as well as form The activities of the NDIR OP aim at providing additional educational support for pupils threatened by dropout, extracurricular activities that will develop additional skills and competencies in the students, activities, services and resources for the absorption of the the Bulgarian language through additional initial-stage training, psychological counseling and support for drop-outs, career counseling and vocational guidance is for ethnic minority students to continue education at the high school stage. Activities aimed at working with parents, explaining the benefits of educational integration, the lessons of preventing children from attending regular classes and overcoming negative public attitudes are foreseen.The project will be carried out for 24 months from the Municipality of Sredets in partnership with OP MA, NGO "TALENTS", Zagortsi Primary School, Sredets University and CAMT "Amalipe". The activities will be implemented in the " Pobeda "Sredetz and Orlintsi, covering the same needy citizens.The expected results build on the achievements of the Bulgarian-Swiss cooperation program.Through the implementation of the project will raise the awareness of the local community about the opportunities of the HRD OP 2014-2020 and OP NDIR to support the social inclusion of persons from vulnerable groups.
