Together for municipality of Borovo

The project "Together for the Municipality of Borovo" will be implemented by Borovo municipality in partnership with Open Society Club - Ruse, Kindergarten - Borovo, Primary School, Obretenik and Primary School Gorno Ablanovo. For the successful implementation of the activities, the Employment Agency, the Social Assistance Agency, the Regional Health Inspectorate and the Regional Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and Science will be involved as associated partners. The main objective of the project is to create a complex and sustainable model for the integration of persons from marginalized communities in cooperation with all stakeholders in Borovo municipality. In the project an integrated approach will be implemented which includes HRD OP activities related to support for improving access to employment, motivation and activation of unemployed persons, employment, access to education, social and health services as well as development measures of local communities and the overcoming of negative stereotypes, which are complemented by the Science and Education for Smart Growth OP, which includes activities related to educational process in both schools and the kindergarten, incl. prevention of dropping out of school and working with parents. The project is in line with the objectives of the Borovo Municipality Action Plan for Integration of Bulgarian Roma People and Other Citizens in a Vulnerable Social Situation Living like Roma. The target groups are - young people aged 15-29 with primary and secondary education, vulnerable groups, as well as long-term unemployed persons over 50 years of age, early childhood and their families, students and families from ethnic minorities and other ethnic groups. Project activities have a special focus on the villages of Obretenik and Gorno Ablanovo, which have a large concentration of Roma population and places that have not been included in other projects and programs for integration.
