"Integrated measures to improve access to education and socio-economic integration of vulnerable groups in the municipality of Tervel"

The project includes16 activities to improve access to education for adults and children and students from the Roma population of the North district of Tervel and the villages of Orlyak and Kableshkovo in the municipality of Tervel - also populated with compact Roma communities. Ten of the activities are in line with the OPHRD priorities for integrating vulnerable ethnic groups into society.Six activities focus on the educational integration of ethnic minorities and are within the scope of the OPEN. The project will increase the number of persons from vulnerable groups involved in training and employment in specialties that are needed by employers in Tervel Municipality.It will improve the access of the people from the ethnic communities to the social and health services offered in the municipality. The project envisages to increase the number of successfully integrated children and students from the ethnic minorities in the municipality. It will achieve the effect of overcoming the negative attitudes and stereotypes of society towards ethnic communities as a prerequisite for facilitating the process of integration of ethnic minorities in the education and labor market.The project will be implemented by Tervel Municipality and partners, whose field of work and previous experience form capacity for implementation of the activities under the project - Kindergarten in the segregated Roma neighborhood of Tervel , Tervel Medical Center Ltd., LAG-Tervel-Krushari Association. The Tervel Municipality candidate and the "Tervel Medical Center" will be implemented by the Employers' Fellowship, which will provide a working environment for apprenticeship for 10 trained health assistants and subsidized employment for 1.Project funds for activities related to children and students will be spent by the kindergarten partner through the "Prosveta" Department in Tervel Municipality. The Tervel Municipality will spend and manage the budget of all other project activities.
