Smyadovo municipality with care for everyone

The implementation of the project will provide employment of 47 people, out of which 27 belong to the Roma target group. The project will additionally provide vocational training combined with apprenticeship For 9 people from the target group. The project will further strengthen and broaden the work of the Center for Social Support in Smyadovo, as well as the Community Development Center established by Center Amalipe and the Mobile team for providing complex health and social services. It will improve the educational environment of 380 students from St.St.Cyril and Methodius Secondary school of Smyadovo and 121 children from Margaritka Kindergarden. The project envisages active involvement of Roma and other parents of ethnic minorities in the whole educational process through employing two educational mediators and the establishment of Parents clubs. Within the project a series of campaigns for overcoming stereotypes and negative attitudes based on ethnic background and cultural identity, as well as support for education in multicultural environment. Smyadovo Municipality is the leading applicant. The partners in the project are Amalipe Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance, St.St.Cyril and Methodius Secondary school of Smyadovo, Margaritka Kindergarden and “Brotherhood – 1860”Cultural House. Smyadovo Municipality will be also in the role of Emoloyer due to the lack of employers in the Municipality
