United for a better life

The project proposal "Together for a Better Life" is a series of measures that will contribute to improving access to employment, education, training, social and health services for socially excluded persons living in severe socio-economic conditions in Vidin Municipality. Leading partner of the project is Vidin Municipality and associated partners are Association "Development of Personality and Human Communities"; Henna Ltd; SU "Kiril and Metodi ","DG Rusalka "The project is implemented for a period of 36 months with the total budget of 988 038.06 lv. The project envisages 8 activities: Action (D) 1 - "Improving access to employment", includes measures for professional information, counseling and psychological support; motivation for active behavior in the labor market, inclusion in employment and in apprenticeship programs, D2 - "Improving access to social and health services", enhancing health culture, working with health mediators and conducting campaigns to improve the health and social skills and knowledge of the target group, D3 - "Developing Local Communities and Overcoming Negative Stereotypes", which incl. conducting information campaigns and community festivals, D4. Working with parents, regardless of their ethnic origins, to explain the benefits of educational integration and acceptance of difference D5. Career counseling and vocational guidance for ethnic minority students seeking or receiving international protection D6. Improvement of the educational environment in kindergartens and schools outside the Roma neighborhoods in cities where integrated children and students from ethnic minorities are trained and seeking or receiving international protection; D7. Additional Bulgarian language education for children and pupils (including children and students seeking or receiving international protection) for which Bulgarian is not a native language. D8. Overcoming negative public attitudes based on ethnic origin and cultural identity.
